Butt Sweater Longies Pattern

2003 Butt Sweater Longies

I have made a tutorial on how to make longies using a wool sweater.
The pages are very graphic intense, so they may load slowly.
I wanted a very detailed tutorial so new sewers can follow along too.
I divided it into 4 posts.
This pattern is for personal use only and items are not to be made and sold for profit.
Measure your child. Around the waist, rise (from the waist in the front to the waist in the back through the legs) & the leg around the largest part.
Gather all your equipment. Paper, pen, ruler & scissors.
Write the measurement on the top corner if you want to make it easier.

Take the waist measurement & divide it in half. Make a line that length across the paper towards the top.

Divide the rise measurement by 2. Measure from the waist line down that amount and make a line 2-4 inches long. Shorter for infants, longer for toddlers

Make slightly diagonal lines to form the sides. It is OK if they are long, as this will be adjusted later.

Measure from the side line to the crotch line. Have it slightly less than half of the leg measurement. Mark it at the top & bottom. No need to draw a straight line.
